LIFESTYLE OF KKTK
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
- Romans 2:12
As Christians, we are bound by the teachings of Christ. Whatever we say or do must be based in the Scriptures, even if this means being different and non-conformist to the walks of this world. Christian lifestyle may seem unconventional to others, however, we must remember to cling onto God’s fold and teachings. After all, it is He whom we serve and not anyone else.
If, because of these, we are persecuted in this life because of our very different lifestyle, we must rejoice for we become partakers of the promise of eternal life as we endure. People may laugh at us now, but their enjoyment is temporary; that of Christians’ will last forever.
We may be different for using songs to present the fruit of our lips to the One above everything. We may look “funny and cheap” to other people because we create gestures and movements through dance to praise God. We may earn the consternation of many people because we use modern technologies to propagate God’s loving kindness and hope of salvation to mankind. Some people may raise eyebrows toward us because we wear modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety instead of over-the-top trendy fashion. And what makes us unique and unconventional may be construed as weirdness by others, but we remain proud of what we do and practice.
The best life ever lived on this earth is the one lived by Christ. He left us an example, that we should follow His steps. It may be full of tears, sorrow and pain; but this is the greatest story on earth: the life story of Christians. From our leader, the Lord Jesus Christ, up to the last Christian who will receive the Gospel—those who, after suffering persecution in this life, shall inherit eternal life—the story goes on…
