Youth celebrates 21st anniversary through Thanksgiving to God, launch of website

By Bro. Ryan Borja

October 5, 2006

This coming October 7, the international pool of youth members of the Church of God under the Kapisanan ng mga Kabataan Tungo sa Kasakdalan or KKTK is celebrating 21st founding anniversary by offering songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.

Youth members worldwide and in other parts of the country will join through the web and via satellite when the KKTK members who will be in ADD Convention Center in Apalit, Pampanga on Saturday presents their Thanksgiving numbers.

The KKTK group has its roots in a small choir group formed in 1985 through the prodding of Bro. Eli Soriano. This group, led by Bro. Edong Erese, encourages the young members of the Church of God to take part in this group which Bro. Eli intended to provide choral numbers during opening and intermission of the popular TV program, Ang Dating Daan (The Old Path).

Coincidentally, the October 7 celebration of the KKTK anniversary also falls on the same date in 2004 when Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel launched The Old Path Channel via a contract signing with direct-to-home satellite provider, Globecast. Eventually, programs produced by the Church are able to reach the North American and Canada territories.

The unfolding of once-only-a-dream to preach the Gospel worldwide became reality and with God's help, the efforts prove that the unrelenting campaign to proclaim and evangelize the Gospel of salvation is converting souls to the fold of the Church.

On October 7, the KKTK will launch its official website, which will have an address: http://kktk.kaanib.net.
