Why we need to conduct activities such as the National Youth Convention
Of all the youth in the world – billions – we are blessed to be called to serve God in His church… In a world full of iniquities, we should be thankful that we belong to a community living in peace and harmony towards a common goal – perfection.
To be able to attain perfection, we need to pass lots of tests and go through many trials. We need to have sufficient strength to endure these. That’s why our Leaders, Bro. Eliseo Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon thought of ways, in accordance with God’s will, to help strengthen the youth of the church. Activities such as the National Youth Convention came into place.
Undoubtedly, God wants us to dwell together in His house in unity. As members of the body, we are not alone in serving God. We need to work with different people who were also called by Him. How then could we do our duties well if we are not in union with one another?
For this purpose, The National Youth Convention is being held annually. It promotes unity, camaraderie, and teamwork through different team-building activities, imparting values among the youth while they are having fun. This gives us a chance to enhance our physical and mental abilities, keeps us away from vices of the world, and brings us closer to God. During NYC, we receive inspirational messages and piece of timeless and sensible advice from our Presiding Ministers based in the Bible to serve as food for our souls.
Truly, we need to conduct such activities to strengthen our bonds in faith; to unite the youth of the Church, and to attain perfection.
